Celebrating Canada

Happy Canada Day everyone!

The Echidna office will be shut down tomorrow and hopefully most of you will be out enjoying the festivities (or just hanging around the back yard) with friends and family. That's why I wanted to share this message today before you're all off-line and enjoying the Great White North.

You will be off-line, right?

There are just too many fireworks celebrations, BBQs, events, gatherings, and friends to be reading blog posts. Why? Because tomorrow we get to celebrate living in the greatest country in the world.

At Echidna, we wear our Canadian pride on our sleeve. We're honoured to come from this great country and we're committed to doing our part to make Canada shine on the global technological stage.

How we do it is through embracing Drupal -- our content management system of choice. We've made a commitment to building on Drupal and that's why we're one of the foremost development shops in the country.

And our reach is spreading.

We've got more Drupal Grandmasters than any other company in Canada. We're known at Drupal conventions around the world for showing up en masse wearing our Echidna hockey jerseys. And, most importantly, we're known by our customers as providing superior-quality products built and supported by superior-quality talent.

I know we're lucky to be in London. We've got elite schools producing top developers each and every year in Fanshawe and Western. We've got a city that offers a wonderful balance of quality of life, cost of living, and opportunity. And we're part of a larger tech community that is respected throughout the country.
