Thank you.

Those two words carry so much weight for all of us at Digital Echidna tonight. Earlier this evening, we were named the winner of the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the London Chamber of Commerce's 2015 Business Achievement Awards.

Though I was unable to attend, I'm happy to say that a few Echidnas and some of our community partners were there to receive the award and celebrate.

And to say thank you.

Obviously, we're thankful for the recognition. We are honoured that our efforts are appreciated and deemed worthy of this award. But that's not the foremost thing we're thankful for. So, since I was unable to attend, let me say the following:

Thank you to the City of London for supporting us and all of our endeavours. We're proud to be based in London; we're proud to be part of London's downtown core; and we're proud to support some amazing organizations and projects throughout the community.

Thank you to our community partners for allowing us to be a part of your organizations and share in your goals and successes. We pride ourselves in supporting causes over the long haul. We support things that we have a personal belief in and then try to provide real value -- not just financial support, but real, boots-on-the-ground involvement with staff and projects. Thank you for trusting us and letting us be a part of the incredible work you do.

Thank you to our co-finalist, Adam Malamis and Simalam Inc., as well as everyone else who was nominated in our category. Your efforts in corporate social responsibility make all of us better and help set an example that other companies can follow. We know we just got lucky. We quietly go about our business, supporting causes without a lot of personal fanfare, because that's not what we're in it for. We do it because we love it. And we know we're not unique in this. There are lots of people and companies out there doing amazing things that aren't getting this type of recognition because they're happy to be behind the scenes, making a real difference. We feel honoured to be able to represent that group of people and companies and share this award with everyone who is out there, working behind the scenes to support causes they believe in.

Thank you to all of our staff at Digital Echidna who have invested their time, effort, and talent into various projects and activities over the years. And thank you to their families -- wives, husbands, partners, parents, kids... we know that no one person does anything on their own and having that kind of support is integral to our success.

And thank you to the Chamber for celebrating London's success. Tonight's event recognized small, medium, and large businesses of the year, and celebrated leadership in corporate social responsibility, environmental issues, human resources, and innovation. Thank you for taking the time to recognize some of the companies that are making a difference in the Forest City. Thank you for giving them a chance to shine and to give all companies something to which they can aspire. We know that the nominees and winners represent only a small fraction of the incredible talent and leadership that's present in London, and we look forward to continuing to be a part of this amazing community.
