Web Developer Position (Junior or Senior) in London, ON
Digital Echidna is looking for a new team member to work as a part of our development team to design and execute web solutions. This team member can be junior or senior – we are really just looking for great candidates.

WARNING

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Position will focus on back end development using web related technologies;
- Develop, support, code, install, test, debug, and document scalable, high-availability websites, and web applications;
- Stay current on browser/platform capabilities and traditional design and engineering disciplines;
- Maintain and continually expand upon expert knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, applications, mobile devices, and their capabilities; and
- Build new skills working on the Drupal CMS.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two to three-year community college diploma or University Degree in Multimedia, Interactive Web Design and Development, Media Theory and Production, Computer Science, or Programmer/Analyst field(s); and
- Continual updating on related industry topics.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Advanced PHP and MySQL;
- Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, JQuery, CSS, Git, Object-oriented programming, and MVC framework;
- Desire to learn and adapt to new applications and frameworks;
- Commitment to delivering high quality web project on time;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Rapidly identify and fix bugs; optimize performance in a constantly evolving live production environment; and
- Capable of working independently on individual project components and with team members to integrate these components into a complete applications.
BONUS SKILLS
- Advanced custom Drupal Module development (with MySQL database integration);
- Symfony/Codeigniter/Laravel framework;
- Automation testing;
- Continuous integration;
- Making sites accessible (WCAG AA); and
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
