Join Us for Drupal Global Sprint Weekend on Jan. 28

As we're two-thirds of the way through January, you may feel the giving season has faded behind in your rear-view mirror. In fact, many are well into "hey, I've already broken my resolution" season. But on Jan. 28th and 29th, you have a chance to give back to an amazing community -- and it won't cost you a dime.

Next weekend marks the Drupal Global Sprint weekend and Digital Echidna is proud to be hosting a location at its downtown office at 99 King St. on Saturday, Jan. 28th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  We invite you to register to attend the event as soon as possible.

And, at the moment, we're the only confirmed hosting site in Canada! Though we'd love to see that change and we encourage Drupal shops from coast to coast to join us in participating in this annual event!

We've mentioned it many times before, but it bears repeating. Drupal is only as strong as the people who contribute to it. As an open-source technology, Drupal has become an industry leader based upon the talents, efforts, and passion of the people who continue to support it and make it better.

We'll be working on a combination of core issues, as well as the Drupal 8 port of the Menu Position contrib module, so if you'd like to come by and spend an hour or two (or the whole day!) we'd love to see you there.

You don't need to be a Drupal expert to participate. Heck, you don't even have to be a coder as there are a number of other roles you could fill (ranging from taking screenshots to documentation to testing).

All you need is a laptop and the willingness to help.

Having some Drupal knowledge would help, but if you're interested in learning more about Drupal, you're welcome to join in the fun.

Oh, and lunch will be provided (vegetarian and vegan options as well).
