What Have You Done For Me Lately ...

Last Friday, the Echidna Team hosted a client appreciation night at the John Labatt Centre. This event was called "Hockey Night with Echidna" and we treated 100 of our closest clients, friends and family to a London Knights Hockey Game - to thank them for their ongoing support. True to theme, the entire Echidna team also sported their "TEAM ECHIDNA" Hockey Jerseys!

But why is it important to have an event like this?

  • Echidna wanted to thank our clients for doing business with us - without them, our company would not exist.
  • We wanted to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication. Sometimes in a high paced environment, saying thanks gets overlooked, as you are moving swiftly from one project to the next. We have amazing staff and we always welcome an opportunity to celebrate that fact!
  • We also invited potential clients to this event, to get to know them on a more personal level. As I stated in my last blog post - people like to do business with people that they know and trust!
  • It also holds value to get your clients interacting with each other. People love to talk about their business, so why not give your clients a chance to talk to others that are experts in their respective industries.
  • People tend to remember, and talk about, experiences! Why not give your clients a great experience - I can guarantee that they will remember that experience and reach for the phone the next time they are seeking the services your company offers.

On Monday morning, when people are hovering around the coffee machine talking about their weekend, think about the fact that they will be talking about the amazing experience they had with your organization.

Thanks for the invite to Hockey Night with Echidna! I had a great time catching up with great friends, having great food and meeting new people! - and to top it off the Knights won!

As the title of this blog post states - Janet Jackson really said it best! So remember what your mother, father, girlfriend and/or wife stated, regardless of the gift - it is the thought that counts! So why not do something special for your clients and keep them thinking about you and your brand!
