A Note of Thanks

This weekend, we in the Great White North, celebrate Thanksgiving. It's a time of family, togetherness, and, of course, a three-day weekend. I wanted to take a couple of minutes here and share some of the things that we're happy for.

A growing team

Last year at this time, we were in the teens when it came to staffing. Today? We're over 30. It's been slow and steady growth reflective of the quality of clients we're attracting. We're growing across the board: new developers, project managers, creatives, and an accessibility consultant who has provided a valuable first-hand perspective on our work.

New 'Puggles'

Speaking of growing... we've had a few new additions to the Echidna family. As you may know, my wife and I recently had our fourth child. A consultant had his second child and one of our developers is expecting twins within the next month or two. Many Echidnas already had puggles of their own, so this family just keeps growing and changing. It's exciting for everyone involved.

Oh, and if you don't know what a puggle is...

Being in the Heart of the Action

As I look out my window, I can see a crowd outside the Budweiser Gardens for the BT taping -- part of the Rogers Hometown Hockey extravaganza that's shut down Talbot this weekend. It's just another in a string of amazing festivals and events that we're privileged to experience. Our team was proud to be the social media HQ of the Memorial Cup, we've watched countless big-name concerts, and are excited that more will be coming -- including the 40th Canadian Country Music Association Awards in 2016!

Being at the Foundation of a Vibrant Downtown

At Digital Echidna, we're committed to supporting the growth of the downtown core. That's why we've stayed in the iconic Burridge Block building, and have continued to grow. In fact, our newest expansion is almost complete -- and that's an addition to the expansion we already made when we took over the location formerly occupied by Cello. From Fanshawe to the upcoming Shared Social Space to new residential developments, there's a feeling of renewal and excitement downtown. And we're in it for the long haul.

A Little (OK, a lot) of Help from Our Friends

Of course, this success and growth wouldn't be possible without the support and dedication of our friends and clients. Whether it's our clients from across North America, or those we've built relationships right in our own backyard of London, ON, we know these relationships have been built on trust, quality, and co-operations. We're proud to have earned those relationships and we're committed every day to show our appreciation of their support.

On behalf of everyone at Digital Echidna, I want to wish you and yours a happy, healthy Thanksgiving. Take a moment to reflect upon what you have and who you're sharing it with. We all have much to be thankful for this year.
