Get Excited!

What do you have to get excited about?

Perhaps you’re excited because it is FINALLY springtime (well it was last week any ways). Or maybe you’re finishing up school for the year. Buying your first home? And I know we’re all excited because the NHL hockey playoffs are here. Whatever it is, we all have something to get excited about.

Excitement is a key emotion that tends to intrigue people just enough to listen to or read what you have to say. Whether you’re Tweeting, blogging or updating your web content you want people to actually care, right? So how do you get people excited about what you have to say?

Here are a couple suggestions

• Write about something you’re passionate about. When you’re passionate about something (whether that’s SEO, websites or the NHL hockey playoffs), people will be able to tell, and they’ll get excited by the tone of your voice and/or the style that you’re writing in.
• Explain your thoughts from a few different angles. You might be an expert in web design or marketing, but to the general public the information you’re telling them is brand new.
• Paint your audience a picture. Know who your audience is and try to explain your story, product or service in a way that suits them.

People are busier than ever these days so if you want them to listen to you…you need to get them excited! Keep things simple, know who you’re talking to and remember to share newsworthy information that suits your target audience.
