Client Relationship Management - on the Web!

As you may, or may not know CRM systems or “Client Relationship Management” systems are becoming more and more popular in the corporate and non-profit world.

So what exactly is a web-based CRM system? Simply put, a web-based CRM system helps your organization (large or small!) manage interactions with your current and potential clients, customers or members.

The primary benefit of a web-based CRM system is that it can be accessed anywhere, at anytime, by multiple users because it’s based on the Internet.

Other benefits of web-based CRM systems are that you can:

  1. Track the same type of information AND consistent information for all contacts from your very first interaction. (Name, Email, Address, Past Employers, Current Employer etc.)
  2. Avoid duplicate contact records and multiple excel spreadsheets. CRM systems allow you to track tons of information in ONE spot!
  3. Easily share contact information with everyone in your organization via the Internet.
  4. Incorporate your CRM system into other marketing strategies or campaigns that you’re already doing! A couple examples are:
  • Have an email form on your website import directly to your CRM system
  • Track the leads you make from your next direct mailer campaign in the CRM

Web-based CRM systems are great for businesses of all sizes. There are many CRM systems available today so make sure you do your research and choose one that’s right for you and your organization.

If you’re already using a CRM system – what one do you like?
