Websites make an impression
The Internet is a leading resource for gathering information. If someone were to research your company on the web, what would they find?
-
Is your web presence a true representation of your brand?
-
Is your brand message clear and up to date?
-
Is your site easy to navigate?
-
Is information about your products and/or services easily accessible?
In a business/networking setting, one would never have the opportunity to describe everything that their company has to offer. If your website is listed on your business card, people will almost instinctively review your website at a later time. Doing this will allow them to determine the following:
-
Was the person truthful in their claims during our first face to face interaction?
-
Can I use the products and/or services offered by this company?
-
Can this company use the products and/or services offered by "my" company?
-
And finally, is this a company someone I want to do business with?
Remember, your website might be the first and only impression a potential client has of your company. A negative experience could actually deter clients from dealing with you. You will have to work much harder to recover and build client confidence after a negative web interaction. In reality, you might never get the chance, because that potential client will NEVER contact you!
