Echidna's Spring Migration to DrupalCon

An image of a treasure map leading to a Drupal drop.

We all know that Canadian Geese migrate south for the winter. But did you know that Canadian Echidnas are heading south in the early spring to attend DrupalCon 2015 in sunny Los Angeles, CA?

And we're also going to follow that up by hosting a bunch of our Drupal friends in Toronto at the end of June at the Drupal North Regional Summit.

But first, let's talk DrupalCon. This annual event is the marquee Drupal event in the world. This year, we're sending 14 Echidnas -- making us one of the largest delegations at DrupalCon. You won't be able to miss us -- jerseys on, mini-sticks in hand -- throughout the event.

And in addition to being a silver-level sponsor of DrupalCon 2015, we're also part of it!

On Tuesday, May 12th, Echidna's own Scott Reeves will be presenting "Drupal 8 Theme System: hook_theme() to Twig template" -- a session that covers the state of the Drupal 8 theme system, what's different from Drupal 7 and how it might affect one's work with Drupal. You can learn more about the presentation on the DrupalCon site.

We've made a commitment to Drupal and fostering the community in Canada. We've participated and/or sponsored Drupal summits, camps, and conventions, going back to March 2011. And we're proud to be playing a key role in bringing the Drupal experience home this year!

As I've mentioned before, we're thrilled to be the Diamond Sponsor of this year's inaugural Drupal North Regional Summit, which takes place from June 25-28 at Ryerson University in Toronto. This free, four-day conference is designed to gather Canada's best and brightest Drupal minds together to share best practices, learn about some exciting features about the soon-to-be-released Drupal 8, and help grow the reach and influence of Drupal in the Great White North.

We'll be there en masse. We hope you'll join us.

These events are just part of our ongoing commitment to making London a hub for development excellence and putting the Forest City on the Drupal map.

And we're always available should you have any questions or interest in the Drupal content management system. You can contact us by e-mail or on Twitter.
